You would be forgiven for not being able to distinguish the 991.1 and 991.2 generation of the 911 based on looks alone. The 911 DNA has not changed much over the years. On the inside however, things were upgraded significantly. Gone is the 3.8-liter naturally aspirated engine in favor of a more emission-friendly 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat six, all in the name of improved performance and better fuel efficiency. The Porsche 911 Carrera S (991.2) is a great car for a comfortable drive out of the city, and a fun car for a spirited drive on a mountain road.
